Strike withdrawal‏

ALL INDIA CENTRAL EXCISE INSPECTORS’ ASSOCIATION
Ref. No. AICIEA/CBEC/152/2009 18.11.2009

To

Shri.P.V.Bhide
Secretary to Government of India,
Department of Revenue,
Ministry of Finance,
North Block, New Delhi.

Sir,

Sub: Up gradation of grade pay of Inspectors of Central Excise to Rs. 4600/- - Reg

The demand of this Association for upgradation of the grade pay of Inspectors of Central Excise to Rs. 4600/- in terms of the provisions of CCS (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 have finally been agreed to by the issuance of OM F. No. 1/1/2008 JC dated 13.11.2009 of the Department of Expenditure. By this order, the historical parity in pay scales, the cadre of Inspectors of Central Excise had with the Inspectors in CBI and IB has been restored and the pay erosion suffered by the Inspectors who joined the service after 01.01.2006 has been alleviated.

As you are aware, the Central Board of Excise and Customs recommended the demand of this Association but the same was rejected by the Department of Expenditure thrice. The stalemate was resolved only after your good self intervened in the matter by calling a joint meeting of the staff representatives and the officials of the Department of Expenditure on ---- July, 2009.

I, on behalf of the entire cadre of Inspectors of Central Excise, place on record, our immense sense of gratitude for your act of kindness and the proactive approach, without which this issue would never have been resolved.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully
sd/-

(Kousik Roy)

1. pls find out and post the present status of case in CAT.
2. What is status of our just and logical demand of GP 5400/- TO acp Inspectors?
3. status n efforts for successful strike on 26.11.2009!
4. ACP given to poor stagnating and exploited inspectors after 12 long years-
whereas an irs who joins as ac becomes atleast jc after 12 years!sic...
acp is given to inspectors coz govt . is deliberately not giving any promotions to inspectors!

what is big deal in 5400/- GP to acp insp.!

Strike has been called off. Is the 4600/- was the only demand related with strike or other demands like 5400/- & notional pay had no relevancy with the strike notice. if so why the same were aired. It is only to attract the mass. Though it is a good job for the new comers but what about for the old ones. nothing. u r only using them to show your strength. what happens of other demand. it is surprise.
