Objection raised by CAO on grant of grade pay of Rs.5400/- to Inspectors, overruled by the worthy Chief Commissioner

The issue of grant of grade pay of Rs. 5400/- to Inspectors of Customs & Central Excise was taken up by the Association with the administration vide representation letter C.No.CCEEOA/JPR/Rep./2008/ Dated;-19.12.2008 (available at this site also http://aiceiarajasthan.blogspot.com/2008/12/letter-for-nfsg-to-inspectors.html) and it was requested to rectify the error in fixation.

In the matter an objection was raised by the Chief Accounts Officer, Central Excise Jaipur-I and a reference was made to the Chief Commissioner Jaipur zone.

On 29.01.2009 the worthy Chief Commissioner after examining the issue overruled the objection, raised by the CAO and directed all the Commissioners to grant the grade pay of Rs.5400/- to an Inspector Group-“B” of the Department of Revenue (Customs & Central Excise) who has completed four years of regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 4800 (i.e. pay scale of Rs. 7500-12000). Copy of letter is being placed on the site soon.......................
