Sub:- Request for convening a meeting of Screening Committee under the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme –regarding

Please refer to the office memorandum no. 35034/3/2008-Estt. (D) dated 19-05-2009 issued by the DOPT in the matter of implementation of Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme.

It is submitted that in Para 7 of the above OM, to make the MACP Scheme operational, all the Cadre Controlling Authorities were directed by the DOPT to constitute the first Screening Committee meeting within a month from the date of issue of the said instructions to consider the cases maturing upto 30th June, 2009. Similarly, another Screening Committee meeting is to be held in the first week of July, 2009 to process the cases that would be maturing upto the end of financial year 2009-10.

Sir, this is to bring to your kind notice that the said period of a month has already elapsed but the meeting of the Screening Committee under the MACPS appears to have not been convened in Customs & Central Excise, Jaipur zone. In these circumstances, your goodself is requested to convene a Screening Committee meeting urgently for grant of financial up-gradation to the officers eligible under the modified Assured Career Progression Scheme.
