It has been decided with the approval of the Competent Authority that the work allocation amongst the Members in the CBEC will be as under, until further orders:
A. Charges of Member
1. Shri J. K. Batra -Member (Customs, RI & I, Exports & Safeguards)
2. Shri V Sridhar -Member (P&V) and Budget)
3. Shri Vijay Singh -Member (Central Excise)
4. Shri Rakesh Sharma -Member (Service Tax & Computerisation)
5. Smt. Chitra Gouri Lal -Member (L&J)
B. The administrative control & supervision over the charge of Chief Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will be as under:
Shri J. K. Batra (Member Customs, RI & I, Exports & Safeguards)-
(1) The charge includes customs, Revenue Intelligence, Export Promotion, Trade Facilitation, Safeguards & Valuation.
(2) The following Chief Commissioners of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will work under his administrative supervision:-
Chief Commissioner CX Chandigarh, Chief Commissioner Customs & CX Jaipur, Chief Commissioner Customs Ahmedabad, Chief Commissioner CX Ahmedabad, Chief Commissioner CX Bhopal, Chief Commissioner CX Nagpur, Chief Commissioner Vadodara, DG (Export Promotion),DG (Safeguards), DGRI, DG (Valuation), Directorate of Logistics, CRCL
Shri V Sridhar (Member P&V and Budget);-
(1) The charge includes Personnel, Administration, Administrative Reforms, Management of Assets, Infrastructure, Publicity, Public Relations, Help Centers, Vigilance work and Budget.
(2) The following Chief Commissioners of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will work under his administrative supervision:
Chief Commissioner Customs Delhi, Chief Commissioner Customs (Prev) Delhi, Chief Commissioner CX Delhi, Chief Commissioner CX Meerut, Chief Commissioner Customs & CX Lucknow , DG NACEN , DG Vigilance & CVO , DG HRD .
Shri Vijay Singh (Member Central Excise)
(1) The charge includes Central Excise Intelligence, Inspection, Audit, LTUs.
Shri Vijay Singh (Member Central Excise)
(1) The charge includes Central Excise Intelligence, Inspection, Audit, LTUs.
(2) The following Chief Commissioners of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will work under his administrative supervision:-
Chief Commissioner Customs Mumbai-I, Chief Commissioner Customs Mumbai-II, Chief Commissioner Customs (P) Mumbai-III, Chief Commissioner CX Mumbai-I, Chief Commissioner CX Mumbai-II, Chief Commissioner Customs & CX Pune, Chief Commissioner TAR, DGCEI, DG(Audit), DG (Inspection), Directorate of Publicity & Public Relations.
Shri Rakesh Sharma (Member Service Tax & Computerisation) ;-
(1) The charge includes work relating to Service Tax and Computerisation.
(2) The following Chief Commissioners of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will work under his administrative supervision:-
Chief Commissioner CX Bhubaneswar, Chief Commissioner CX Kolkata, Chief Commissioner Customs Kolkata, Chief Commissioner CX, Ranchi (HQ at Patna), Chief Commissioner Customs (P) Patna, Chief Commissioner CX Shillong , DG (Systems), DG (Service Tax).
Smt. Chitra Gouri Lal (Member L&J)
(1) The charge includes all kinds of judicial and legislative work.
(2) The following Chief Commissioners of Customs & Central Excise and Directorates will work under her administrative supervision;-
Chief Commissioner CX Bangalore , Chief Commissioner Customs Bangalore, Chief Commissioner CX Chennai , Chief Commissioner Customs Chennai, Chief Commissioner Customs (Prev) Chennai, Chief Commissioner CX Cochin , Chief Commissioner CX Coimbatore, Chief Commissioner Customs & CX Hyderabad, Chief Commissioner CX Mysore, Chief Commissioner Customs & CX Visakhapatnam, CDR Directorate of Legal Affairs.
(3) Work relating to Settlement Commission, CESTAT and Authority for Advance Rulings.
